It's simply not the same Tiguan you knew before. It's bigger; the 2018 Tiguan now has a 3rd row to accommodate two more passengers. It has a whole new look outside and in, with tons of available upgrades. V-Tex leatherette or Vienna leather seating, a panoramic sunroof with ambient lighting, Volkswagen Digital Cockpit with a 12.3" display and Driver Personalization are only a few of the new features.
Because the new Tiguan is 10" longer than its predecessor, it has significantly more cargo capacity with over 70 cubic feet of storage space available. There's an easy open & close liftgate that allows you to simply kick your foot under the rear bumper to unlock and open the trunk.
Technology Features
The new Tiguan has options like a Volkswagen Digital Cockpit with a 12.3" display with Driver Personalization. Fender® premium audio is available along with an 8" touchscreen navigation system.
VW App-Connect is standard. Drivers will enjoy the ability to plug in their compatible smart phones and select from apps on the touchscreen.
Car-Net Security & Service is also available allowing for customized features that you can review with a mobile app - including speed, curfew, valet and boundary alerts. There are stolen vehicle alerts and roadside assistance. Drivers can also check on their cars when they're not even in it!
Safety features include a standard Safety Cage, Intelligent Crash Response System, Automatic Post-Collision Braking System, Tire Pressure Monitoring and additional stability-enhancing systems. Available safety features include Front Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Traffic Alert, Lane Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Park Pilot and Area View.
