THE VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN

The 7-Passenger Volkswagen Tiguan

The new Volkswagen Tiguan may very well be in a class by itself. That’s because it’s one of the only compact SUVs with three rows for seven passenger seating. The Honda CR-V doesn’t have that option. Neither does the Nissan Rogue or the Toyota Rav4. The Tiguan also boasts some of the largest cargo space available in its class and comes with an unbeatable suite of driver assistance features unavailable on most other brand models.

U.S. News calls the new Tiguan comfortable and well-equipped. Car and Driver calls it attractive and flexible and extolls its smooth ride. With it’s high-quality German engineering and good looks, the new Volkswagen Tiguan is a sporty, tech-filled, people- and cargo-hauler that would please anyone.

Technology & Driver Assistance Features

The Volkswagen Tiguan has an available Digital Cockpit, with a high resolution digital display. It can store up to four driver profiles to ensure personal setting preferences are stored. The available 8” touchscreen is intuitive and easy to use. App-Connect with Apple Car Play and Android Auto comes standard and puts your apps right on the touchscreen. Some Tiguan models are equipped with a wireless smartphone charger and power remote liftgate. And all Tiguan models have access to Volkswagen Car-Net remote access.

Drive Assistance Features make your commute easier and safer. Adaptive Cruise Control allows you to set a cruising speed, but your vehicle will ensure you stay a reasonable distance from the car in front of you; it speeds up and slows down as needed. Blind Spot Monitoring will alert you if you’re changing lanes while there’s a vehicle in your blind spot and Lane Keep Assist will sense if you’re drifting into another lane without using your turn signal. Overhead Camera View is also available and can give you a full view of what is around your vehicle. There’s also Park Distance Control, Forward Collision Warning with Autonomous Emergency Braking and Rear Traffic Alert.

Power & Safety

With a new Tiguan, you get a turbocharged 4 cylinder engine with 184 horsepower. You can upgrade to Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel-drive. The Tiguan gets up to 23 city and 30 highway MPGs* and can tow up to 1500 lbs. It’s known for a smooth and comfortable ride.

A rearview camera system comes standard along with an intelligent Crash Response System. The Tiguan is also an IIHS Top Safety Pick when equipped with Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS) with dynamic cornering headlights. Speaking of headlights - the Volkswagen Tiguan has available LED headlights and taillights that are efficient and long-lasting.
