The 2019 Volkswagen Arteon is the first of its design. It sports an attractive exterior that gives it a futuristic look and often gets mistaken for a much more expensive luxury vehicle. However, there’s more to the Arteon than what meets the eye. The new sedan also beats the competition! We don’t mean to toot the Arteon’s horn, but, it outperforms the Maxima in MPGs, warranty, and interior features.
Inside the 2019 VW Arteon is a list of standard features that are unavailable on the 2019 Nissan Maxima: HD Radio, tri-zone automatic climate control, pedestrian detection, and blind-spot monitoring. Both vehicles share connectivity features like an 8-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and satellite radio. But the Arteon also features a 12.3-inch screen digital cockpit that replaces the traditional instrument panel. It’s customizable and offers five display profiles.
The Arteon receives praise for its cargo space as well. Thanks to its liftback design, the Arteon has 27.2 cu. ft. of space behind the rear seats and a total of 55 cu. ft. of space with the rear seats folded down. The 2019 Nissan Maxima’s trunk is one of the smallest amongst sedans, with just 14.3 cu. ft.
