TIGUAN VS. CR-V
If you were considering a new 2019 Honda CR-V, keep in mind that the 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan offers 3-row seating and can fit up to 7 passengers. The CR-V can't. Because of its redesign, the 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan is now longer and wider than practically all of the competition and boasts way more passenger volume than the Honda.
The 2019 VW Tiguan is also packed with driver oriented available features like an 8” touchscreen navigation system and digital cockpit with driver personalization settings. Meanwhile, the 2019 Honda CR-V only has a 7" display available. Even in its base model, the new 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan syncs your smartphone’s apps with Apple Car Play® or Android Auto® on a convenient and attractive color touchscreen. Standard features in the CR-V LX do not include smartphone integration.
The base Tiguan includes additional upgraded standard features like a rearview camera system, rear traffic alert and push button start. The 2019 Honda CR-V base model does not. VW Car-Net is another security and service feature exclusive to Volkswagen. It allows you to connect with your phone, notifying you of important service alerts; it can let you know the status of your doors, windows and trunk, help you find where you parked your car and remotely lock or unlock your doors. It can even give you weather information or remind you to schedule service.
And nothing compares to the Volkswagen warranty. The 6-year, 72,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty available on 2019 VW models is twice as long as Honda's and it's even transferable. That's what German engineering gets you. So, if you were thinking about Honda, do some research before you make the final decision.
